Takashi Murakami Doraemon “A Blue Sky! Like We Could Go On Forever!” Print

Takashi Murakami’s “A Blue Sky! Like We Could Go On Forever!” brings Doraemon, Nobita Nobi and Shizuka Minamoto together in a scene of flight across a blue sky. The familiar characters and sense of open-ended adventure give this art print an uplifting, nostalgic appeal for Doraemon fans and admirers of Murakami’s work.

A place for imagination

• Bring a favourite story into your living space. Display the print where you can enjoy its airborne scene every day, giving a lounge or reading corner a playful focal point.
• Give a study a change of perspective. The open-sky imagery offers a visual contrast to a desk-focused setting, with a scene that invites you to look up and away from the everyday.
• Build a character-focused art display. Include it in a collection centred on Doraemon or Japanese pop culture, with Doraemon, Nobita and Shizuka sharing the spotlight.
• Choose a considered gift for a Doraemon fan. The recognisable trio makes this a personal choice for someone whose connection to the series goes beyond a single favourite character.

What makes this print distinctive?

The composition places the characters in flight rather than in a static portrait, giving the artwork a sense of movement that echoes its title. Its square format also offers a clear starting point when planning a standalone display or arranging it alongside other artwork.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a good choice for someone who loves Doraemon but is new to collecting art?
The familiar characters provide an accessible starting point. Choose it because you enjoy the artwork and its connection to Doraemon, rather than expecting a particular resale outcome.

Would it work as a standalone piece or as part of a collection?
Either approach can work. Displaying it on its own keeps attention on the flying trio, while a grouped arrangement can connect it with other character-led or Japanese contemporary art.

What should I consider before choosing a frame?
Check both the full sheet size and the image size shown in the product details. Decide whether you want the surrounding paper visible, then ask your framer to size the frame and mount accordingly.

Is this an original painting?
No. This product is listed as a print, not an original painting.
